“I found your article fascinating — couldn’t put it down and read it in one sitting. I knew our general ideas, but never in such detail, nor about the link between the Habiru tradition and Jewish radicalism. The gyrations of the academics to avoid linking Habiru and Hebrews is amazing. The one fellow who says the word Hebrew comes from Habiru, but that the Hebrews were not Habiru, reminds me of the apocryphal professor who argued that the plays are not by William Shakespeare, but by another Elizabethan named William Shakespeare.
